Review
Another unsurprising DVD player, on a market full of applications of this type. CinePlayer offers efficient use of system resources and a simple interface. According to popular software magazines, it is one of the best players for tired eyes or dark environments due to the image control it integrates.
It plays VCDs or standard DVDs with menus with PC interactive content, plus it has capabilities for on-disc and online bonus media, which is not supported in many other DVD players. The program has a clean interface with standard icons. A good feature is the anamorphic wide-screen support, which is useful when displaying a video on a projector. This player has bookmarking capability, so users can mark and return to a specific location in the video afterwards.
CinePlayer 3.2 features support for the most common PC remote controls, and Windows XP Media Center Edition remote controllers, making it comfortable to use controls when watching a movie. Also video codecs have been enhanced for smoother playback. Users now can configure mouse wheel to be used in navigation.
Unfortunaltely, its competitors often have a greater range of audio/ video support and superior audio tools, which makes CinePlayer not quite a best choice. Plus, it has issues with Vista. |
- Easy interface.
- Uses little memory and CPU resources.
- Users can configure mouse wheel for navigation.
- Includes image capture.
- PC Remote control support.
|
- Limited audio functionality, with no support for digital tools such as DTS.
- May freeze in Windows Vista.
- No HD/Blu-Ray support.
